The 7th Digital Belt and Road Conference 4-6 September, 2023 Beijing, China

The year 2023 marks the 10th year for the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the mid-point of the implementation of 2030 Agenda and the key year of the implementation stage (2023-2026) of “Digital Belt and Road Program”. In recent years, Global and Belt and Road Region cooperation has been deepening and expanding their influence. Digital Technology and Data Governance have been developing rapidly, strongly supporting the assessment of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Global Development Initiative. To review the achievements of DBAR development so as to better support the Belt and Road Initiative and sustainable development, the 7th DBAR Conference, will be held in Beijing on September 4-6, 2023 in service of future UN Summits and Global Development Initiatives.
The “Digital Belt and Road Program” (DBAR) was launched in May 2016 and six DBAR conferences have been successfully held in Beijing, Hong Kong, Tengchong and Shenzhen, with the aim to promote the application of digital technology, with a particular focus on big Earth Data, towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal in the Belt and Road Countries by promoting and enabling sharing of data, technology and knowledge, to facilitate decision-making process in service of the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and the implementation of the Global Development Initiative.
